Our Background

WPBS Bookkeeping & Tax Services was originally established in the 1960's by John Walter Parker, and was incorporated in 1971 as W. Parker Bookkeeping Services Limited.

In 1984 Mr. Parker's daughter, Marie Dobson, took over the business, and continued to operate it until 2006, when she decided to pursue other business interests. The company was then purchased by Blair Stotesbury, CFP CGA to complement his accounting practice.

In 2008, the name was changed to WPBS Bookkeeping & Tax Services, to both honour the founder, W. Parker and recognize the owner at the time, Blair Stotesbury.

The business was purchased in 2011 by Hendrine Vermeulen, who has had experience launching and running several small businesses and who knows what business owners face each day. She also has her certificate of Bookkeeping through Georgian College.
